 Callboost 868MHz / 915Mhz Lora Amplifier Flarm Booster Description

As the domain of wireless communication expands, the complexity of radio waves within the atmospheric space is on the rise. In the Helium IoT ecosystem, the proliferation of adjacent-channel radio wave signals poses a significant interference to Hotspots, leading to a notable degradation in reception sensitivity and a considerable shrinkage in reception range. This predicament has prompted many participants within the Helium Network to consider installed a LoRa Signal Booster as a means to augment the reception coverage. 

However, the conventional LoRa Signal Booster typically employs a Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) filter with subpar out-of-band suppression capabilities for signal filtering. This results in an inadequate suppression of interfering signals, and the signal loss within the operational frequency band exceeds 3dB. Consequently, this inadvertently elevates the system noise by more than 3.5dB, amplifying both the LoRa signal and the interfering signals in tandem. This scenario paradoxically contributes to a diminution in the reception sensitivity of Hotspots, explaining why many Miners, upon the addition of LoRa Signal Boosters, do not observe the anticipated enhancement in their witness count.


In essence, the quest for improved reception range through LoRa Signal Boosters is often met with the unintended consequence of increased interference, highlighting the critical need for advanced filtering technologies that can effectively mitigate out-of-band signals without compromising the integrity and strength of the LoRa signal itself. So we designed a lora amplifier with 868MHz / 915MHz to enhance helium miners lora network.

CALLBOOST FLARM BOOSTER amplifies the 868 MHz / 915 MHz antenna signal by +17dB, and also increases the transmit signal of the FLARM device by 17dB, increasing the monitoring range of the FLARM device by about 5 times.

When the TX transmit power is greater than 23dBm, the AGC will be activated to attenuate the TX gain to stabilize the TX transmit power.

The working power of the Booster is DC+5V~+24V, which can be powered from the DC power socket by the power adapter, or can be powered from the FLARM RF port by the Basi Tee.
